Next Generation 9-1-1 Institute Elects New Board of Directors

The Next Generation 9-1-1 Institute (NG9-1-1 Institute) has announced the results of the 2012 election for five seats on the organization's Board of Directors. The Institute has nearly 2,000 members nationwide and holds an annual election for representatives from public safety, industry, and non-profits. These professionals provide industry expertise, guidance, and recommendations as they work together for the advancement of public safety communications and in support of the Congressional NextGen 9-1-1 Caucus.
The NG9-1-1 Institute membership elected the following five individuals to the Board of Directors:
- Angel Arocho, Comcast, representing the IP-Enable Service Provider position
- Jim Bugel AT&T, representing the Large Telecommunications Carrier position
- Nneka Ezenwa, Verizon, representing the Wireless Provider position
- Mark Lee, Denise Amber Lee Foundation, representing the Member at Large position
- Jim Shepard, 911 Datamaster, representing the Member at Large position
