Visit the NENA 9-1-1 Education Month webpage for resources that you can use to plan public education events and activities during April, promote the formal recognition of 9-1-1 Education Month in your area, deliver key educational messages to the public, and include in media outreach efforts.

Some of the items you will find on the NENA 9-1-1 Education Month webpage include:
  • The Making 9-1-1 Work for You! E-Brochure, featuring essential, age-appropriate, targeted information about the 9-1-1 system and emergency response in downloadable PDFs that you can reproduce and distribute to the general public, children, teens, and parents
  • Video and audio Public Service Announcements that may be reused with permission
  • Press release templates promoting 9-1-1 education, local events, and National 9-1-1 Education Month
  • Links to other public education websites featuring additional tools, resources, and information
Also, take a moment to visit www.know911.org for additional 9-1-1 education materials. This website, a main component of the National 9-1-1 Education Coalition's 9-1-1: The Number to Know campaign, is designed to bolster 9-1-1 education efforts across the nation and provide valuable resources to individuals, agencies, companies, and communities about the importance of 9-1-1 and its proper use. The website contains many free resources to promote and support local, regional, and state 9-1-1 education, awareness, and outreach efforts.

Have info you would like to share? 9-1-1 public education is a collaborate effort, and NENA welcomes your input and contributions. If you would like to make your educational resources available to other 9-1-1 professionals, or would like your local 9-1-1 Education Month / Public Safety Telecommunications Week events and activities listed on nena.org, contact Chris Nussman.
