Academic Partner of the Year

A new program and new award were introduced at the Friday Impact Awards dinner, with University of Florida recognized as the first recipient of the Academic Partner Award.
"This is the beginning of the National Black MBA Association’s launch of our Collegiate Partnership program, said Vice President for Strategic Program Initiatives for the National Black MBA Association, Troy Evans.
"We want to recognize the University of Florida as a shining example of leading the way in the types of partnerships we want to establish, and it is because of their proactive actions and generosity, we have created our Academic Partner of the Year Award. It is my pleasure to announce that University of Florida is our first recipient," said Evans.
University of Florida MBA program serves as the official academic sponsor of the National Black MBA Conference and Exposition, and has just this year, established three full-tuition scholarships to be awarded to applicants of African-American heritage. Craig W. Petrus, executive director of Career Services, Warrington College of Business, University of Florida accepted the award.
