What would you do in your sleep? What would you do if money weren’t an issue? What would you do if you couldn’t fail? Simon T. Bailey, founder of the Imagination Institute, posed these questions to a group gathered for the learning experience "SHIFT: How to Reinvent and Build a Relevant and Resilient Career."

Asking questions, says Bailey, create change. He further explained, "My method is to ask questions to draw you out and lead to answers that were waiting to emerge."

Fifty people gathered to hear Bailey, whose self-description includes "Thought Leader and personal growth "dream weaver." Though, he’s also known for writing best-selling books including, Release Your Brilliance, Simon Believes...Brilliant Service is the Bottom Line, Simon Believes...Success is an Inside Job, and Simon Says Dream: Live a Passionate Life.

Bailey also recommended what he considers to be a personal favorite, The Parable of the Pipeline: How Anyone Can Build a Pipeline of Ongoing Residual Income in the New Economy. Reading inspirational works, he said, can lead to an "upgrade in thinking."

Additionally, he promoted meditation and prayer and exercise – while he encouraged people to strategically live in quarters by revisiting their life-plans every 90, 30, and 15 days. Also, he suggested people use the start of every work week to pinpoint the one act that can lead them to their desired goals.

Bailey, also, offered a solution for times when action plans don’t work. "You’ve got to bounce back and let go," he concluded matter-of-factly.
