ENVIRONMENTAL UPDATE
President Obama set in motion a new national policy aimed at both increasing fuel economy and reducing greenhouse gas pollution for all new cars and trucks sold in the United States.

The EPA's proposal to include international land use changes in the calculation of the greenhouse gas emissions from biofuels, could undermine the fledgling industry, just as it is beginning to take root.

This legislation is a comprehensive approach to America's energy policy that charts a new course towards a clean energy economy.

More than $15 million is available through the program, which is open to any owner to fund heavy-duty truck replacements statewide.

The Program's goal is to put 1,000 clean trucks into service by the end of 2009.
