March 6, 2014 - Awards Gala

More than 300 industry professionals gathered at the MPI Toronto "Hall of Heroes" Awards Gala on March 6, 2014 at The International Centre. This superhero-filled evening was especially designed to celebrate and acknowledge this year’s nominees and winners for their continued commitment to the chapter and our industry.

As guests walked in, they were immediately welcomed by our sponsored valet services, which set the tone of the whole evening. A fun-filled atmosphere was clearly visible in the room through the superhero-inspired and colorful décor, GOOD vs. EVIL food stations and servers with masks wandering around offering guests just a few of the many delicious items the venue had prepared for the evening. Also, attendees were able to enjoy alternative entertainment, such as a photo booth with superhero props, caricature artists drawing guests in their best superhero-like pose, and a green screen photography station to bring out the kid in all of us.

Once doors opened, the theme carried seamlessly through the main room. Nominees and award recipients were acknowledged on stage and the dinner went on without a glitch! Ingredients such as quinoa, kale, goji berries and more were used to inspire our pallets and provide us with a healthy, hearty and delicious menu that was comprised of ... you guessed it, SUPERFOODS!

This evening was all about celebrating our chapters’ best – our superheroes – and allowing attendees the opportunity to enjoy themselves and join in on the celebration.

Congratulations to all the nominees and award recipients of the evening!
