There is a thriving market for LonWorks-based solutions in South America. In order to support growth in the South American market, LonMark International supported the formation of a new affiliate organization called LonMark Cono Sur. This new organization will support LonMark members and certified professionals in South America, as well as nurture the market for control systems. LonMark Cono Sur covers several countries in South America, including Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia.

There are nearly 200 LonMark Certified Professionals in the region. The LCP program establishes a proficiency standard to assure end-users that they have access to a resource pool of professionals with industry knowledge and experience. More and more end-users, project developers, specifiers, and planners are requiring LonMark Certified Professionals for their projects because they are confident in their fundamental knowledge of LonWorks® technology and LonMark Open Systems. The popular LonWorks Installation Handbook, which is used by exam candidates to prepare for the LCP exam, is now available in Spanish and will accelerate the number of people taking the LCP exam. In today’s competitive business landscape, speed and agility are critical. As a business leader, you also know that time can make the difference between hiring a talented candidate for your company or watching that candidate have success at the company down the road. In the long run, it’s the growth opportunity that your company is going to lose if you are hindered by your recruiting and hiring process.

Finding and retaining qualified talent is a challenge that has always been there. It’s nothing new to you. What is new is the current gap in talent and the shortage of qualified applicants. Finding those candidates with the specialized skill sets and knowledge you need is becoming a time consuming, resource draining, daunting task.

But it doesn’t have to be. It’s time to take the complication out of identifying candidates with the potential to take your company to new heights. It all starts by getting your own house in order. That way, when you make a connection with a great candidate – you’re prepared to hire.

BirdDog has done the homework for you and identified 5 top recruitment trends that are gaining momentum in 2015. Join BirdDog for an online webinar on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 that can help you simplify your hiring strategy, improve the quality and quantity of candidates, interview more people in less time, and report for efficiencies and OFCCP compliance.
