We hope that you have received your 2016-2017 MPIKC Directory! It appears, however, that your MPIKC Newsletter Editor and VP of Communications missed including our valued Affiliate Members, and they were inadvertently left out of the directory. Our sincerest apologies for the oversight!

Meeting Professionals International - Kansas City Chapter Celebrates 35 Years!

It is with great excitement that we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Meeting Professionals International - Kansas City Chapter! With this new fiscal year we bring to you a new name (MPIKC), a new logo, a new membership model through MPI Global, and an enhanced and revitalized look!

With all of these exciting updates we would be remiss to not take some time to reflect on the past thirty-five years and to thank all of our members for your continued support and involvement with the chapter. Our organization represents planners from the corporate, association, government, religious, non-profit sectors and independent planners and suppliers, most of who have been in the industry for more than 15 years. The combined wealth of knowledge within the chapter is remarkable and with every member, old and new, the organization gains a fresh perspective, new ideas, impressive industry innovation, and new friends and colleagues that help achieve greater things for the industry as a whole. You, our members, fuel this organization and it is your enthusiasm and involvement that continues to strengthen and grow our organization!

Looking ahead we are excited to continue to bring you newer content and educational programs that are focused on our passion for our members, our industry, and most importantly you!

The Member Needs Assessment Survey was emailed on August 8, 2016. If you did not receive it, please let us know so that we can resend, as your feedback is important to us! We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for all that you do to make Kansas City such a successful chapter in the MPI family.

Every couple of years, it is the practice of the board to survey the membership to gauge what is of the most interest and importance to our members at this time. This survey will provide us valuable input to guide the board in steering programming that is both meaningful and valuable to our membership. We are interested in knowing what we are doing well, what you feel we could do better, and how we can best support you in your professional endeavors. Let us know what burning issues you are encountering in your business life, what’s keeping you up at night, and what you wish you could get access to right here in the KC area.
