Recap of NOVEMBER PROGRAMS

KCMPI members were treated to a pre-holiday treat Nov. 13 at The Melting Pot – Country Club Plaza. The Networking Reception featured a fondue buffet with three varieties of cheese dipping pots and four scrumptious dessert pots. Our hosts and their staff provided us with a spectacular spread and demonstrated how this would be an ideal location for small groups or events. The drink specialty of the night was their signature chocolate and selected fruity martinis. A special thanks to Karen Ledford at The Melting Pot for hosting this lead in to our November program. Cheryl Troxel of the Overland Park Doubletree hosted our November program.

The morning started with a bountiful breakfast buffet and welcoming time for members and their supervisors. Our speaker was an attorney from the law firm of Howe & Hutton, which specializes in representing firms in tourism, hospitality, travel and meeting industries. Barbara F. Dunn, Esq., a partner in that firm, provided an entertaining and interactive presentation on conducting successful contract negotiations. A special thanks goes out to those members who brought their supervisors to the program.
