Field 2 Table 2013


The spirit of the 5th anniversary of Field 2 Table could not be dampened. The rain was not the story, even though it was not the light rain that encourages you to turn your face to the sky to enjoy but the kind of rain that drenches you to the bone in a matter of moments. Mother Nature blessed this outdoor event with a "true" sustainable ingredient—rain! The real story was another beautiful venue, wonderful food and beverage, and great networking for old and new friends.


Our guests arriving in style aboard Heartland Trailways coaches to The Kelly Gallery and English Garden where they were greeted with a bonfire, Wine Barn Winery & Vineyard wine and a specialty drink created just for the evening by Dark Horse Distillery. The weather cooperated long enough for the reception, a walk through the gardens and soup served from the gazebo. Our guests found themselves safe and secure under the tent when the rain came. Chef Roxanne Strub with Above & Beyond Catering presented a beautiful buffet of fall harvest meats, vegetables and breads. Fry bread with vanilla bean mousse with bourbon-salted caramel apples and coffee finished off the meal.

Every year we find ourselves challenged to add a new "feature" to the event. This year, Mother Nature took care of it for us.
