The Value of Travel

I recently made my first trip "across the pond" to Europe. I always felt Europe was so far away; a curiosity that I would never see in person. But, I made a reservation, kept it, and came back changed forever. I discovered that the memories and moments that took my breath away are far more valuable than any souvenir I could have purchased.

We don’t have to travel several thousand miles to change our perceptions or lives though! The world seems to change every 100 feet or so. While long distance travel definitely changes us in numerous and unmeasurable ways, so can visiting a different grocery store or going to a museum in your own city that you’ve never seen before. Any travel away from home can make us more appreciative, curious and creative.

Get out there and travel. Go to a KCMPI event ... start saving for that big trip to Australia ... or take a different route home. Wherever you go, there you are – so make the most of it!

 Safe travels,
