Good day to all!

We’ve had a great fall, the weather has been great and the Royals are winners. They say it is a good time to plant grass, so we did it a week ago. We worked on the land, verticut, aerated, planted a special blend of Blue Grass, and fertilized. Added lots of watering and – voila! – we have over an inch of growing green grass within a week. I feel like a farmer, but actually I’m way far from having a green thumb. That is one reason I have a wonderful wife; she knows how to make things grow.

I mention this time of preparing, planting and growing because your Board of Directors are similar to my yard. We’ve been cutting our teeth, airing our ideas, planting thoughts and using our bylaws for a fertile growing pattern. And we have been getting watered from our CBM, who is our contact with the HQ of MPI. This has resulted in programs and events being planned with great content. Your Board has been hard at work, and we hope that you will appreciate the detail that goes into putting on a program. Planning every detail is what planners do, and it is what this Board and the program committees have done with every program, educational and networking. We hope you approve of our growth, and the growth of each program!

I hope to see you at every program, and please invite another person in our industry to attend with you. We have a great first-timer registration – it is free. So when you invite someone and it will be their first time attending, have them click the first time button when they register and they will have no cost. This is valid with all programs and events except the Awards Banquet and the PEC. It is a great way to get others insight into our chapter and organization. Give it a try!

Thank you for the privilege to serve you!
