Kathryn Jensen
Event Manager, Executive Briefing Center
Sprint

Kathryn Jensen is a Kansas City local whose path into the event world has been unique. Kathryn received her teaching degree from Northwest Missouri State University and during her studies had the opportunity to plan campus-wide events. Her multi-disciplined background, as well her passion and interest in event management, has enabled her to succeed and grow in her current role. She previously served as a Business Director for the YMCA, where she assisted in implementing numerous association-wide projects. A little over three years ago, she joined the team at Sprint as the Event Manager for the world headquarters Executive Briefing Center in Overland Park, KS.

Kathryn is passionate about life. She loves to volunteer weekly by helping little kids who constantly make her laugh. She enjoys exercising, traveling and taking adventurous trips. Her latest adventure included learning to paddle board. Kathryn is new to KCMPI, excited to be a part of the chapter and looks forward to new mentoring opportunities.

After graduation in May, I plan to move to Overland Park. I am a Colorado native so I love the outdoors. I enjoy having a positive attitude and lifting people's spirits up! Getting involved is always on the top of my to do list. I look forward to getting the most out of my KCMPI experience!

I work for People to People International planning events, meetings, and conferences. I fell into event planning, and I love it!

In my spare time, you will usually find my nose in a book or my eye to a view finder. It is also quite likely you will find me lacing up my running shoes, though running and I have a love/hate relationship. It would take way too long to list my wide variety of interests, so feel free to introduce yourself at the next KCMPI event!
