Member Spotlight: Mindi Johnson, Bayer Animal Health

Farm gal from southeast Iowa. Moved to Texas after graduating college and worked in psychiatry for 10 years. My final psych job was at a maximum security psych prison in Lubbock, TX and after a year and a half decided that was not for me. Moved to Kansas and got into marketing and then meeting & events. Spent several years volunteering at Olathe East High School with Project Graduation and the OE Hawks Football team. I joined Bayer Animal Health in September 2015 and absolutely love life! Recently joined MPI and stepped into the new Community Service Liaison role.

Additional information: Enjoys volunteering with the First Downs for Down Syndrome organization and now added Operation Breakthrough to my list of favorites. **Don't forget to bring underwear and socks to our next monthly meeting**

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from Iowa State University

Favorite Travel Spots: Italy and Hawaii

Hobbies/Extracurricular Activities:Enjoy watching Iowa State football and basketball, spending time with my family

Favorite Parts of KC: Olathe - unless I am doing meetings, I don't stray far from home.

Favorite Food: Steak and potatoes (and the real steak...not all that "natural" grass-fed, antibiotic-free stuff :)

Something unique about you: There are six kids in the Murphy family and I am the only girl.

Tell us about your family: Two boys - Zach, who teaches math at Olathe North High School and is one of the varsity football coaches; Sam, who just separated from the Army after 6 years and is now venturing off to do new and exciting things.
