KCMPI Member Wins PCMA Hearthland Chapter's Member of the Year Award

Congratulations to KCMPI member Sherie L. Howell, CMP, CMM, for being awarded the PCMA Heartland Chapter's "Member of The Year Award" during the February 2010 Heartland Chapter Awards, Installation of Officers and Silent Auction.

The PCMA CHAPTER MEMBER OF THE YEAR recognizes an individual or organization exemplifying outstanding professionalism and service to the profession. Criteria is based on chapter service, contributions to the profession, professionalism and leadership.

Sherie became a PCMA member in the fall of 2008 and took the role of 2009 Chairperson of Programs immediately. She was in charge of the February 2009 program that included the installation of the board, awards and silent auction. The silent auction committee collected items that generated approximately $8,000 for the PCMA Heartland Chapter. She was involved in the joint program with KCMPI and helped get the exceptional speaker for the joint meeting with the Missouri State Capital Chapter of SGMP. She is on the PCMA Heartland Chapter Board of Directors, is board liaison to the Community Service Committee and the programs co-chair for 2010. We're so proud of you Sherie!
