Joseph Nadol, an active ISTAT member and a J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. managing director was among the six people killed when a Metro-North Railroad train collided with a SUV in Westchester County, New York in February. He was 42. Boeing’s 737s and the Airbus A320 family leapt in popularity in 2014, and investors are confident about their residual values despite the approaching deliveries of Neos and Maxs. Joe Kavanagh analyses the industry’s best-performing aircraft, and reviews the impact of more capital, low fuel costs and next-generation aircraft.
Bombardier delivered a new Global 6000 aircraft to Formula 1 champion, Niki Lauda, at the aircraft manufacturer’s Global Completion Centre, in Dorval, Canada.
China Eastern Airlines has selected Ameco Beijing for cabin modification of its Boeing 767 fleet.
Rolls-Royce’s underlying profits from its civil aerospace business rose 12% to £942 million ($1.4 billion) in 2014, off the back of a 3% boost in underlying revenues.
South African Airways (SAA) has renegotiated lease re-extensions on three Airbus A340s and is working on similar deals for another five, which are expected to cut R262 million ($22.5 million) in annual costs.
Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) has received Transport Canada type certification for its PurePower PW814GA and PW815GA engines, which will power the new Gulfstream G500 (range of 5,000 nautical miles) and G600 (range of 6,200 nautical miles) business jets respectively.
Timothy Wahlberg, former CEO of Evergreen Helicopters and former Chairman of Helicopter Association International (HAI), joined Morten Beyer & Agnew ("mba") to lead its expanding helicopter division.

If you want to become a leader, don’t wait for the fancy title or the corner office. You can begin to act, think, and communicate like a leader long before that promotion. Even if you’re still several levels down and someone else is calling all the shots, there are numerous ways to demonstrate your potential and carve your path to the role you want.
The time before going to bed is critical to ensure that one closes out the day that has passed, plans for the day ahead, but it is also critical that the mind is calmed so that one has a restful sleep.Too many successful executives get this wrong. One can only burn the candle at both ends for so long before it will mean that they are not as productive as they should be at work, and not as happy as they should be overall. Based on research and conversation with successful executives on the topic, here are the five things that successful people do before they go to sleep.
Two-thirds to three-quarters of large organizations struggle with execution. Focus on coordinating across silos and adapting to change on the front lines for strategy execution success.
