J.P. Morgan Top Analyst Joe Nadol Killed in Train Accident

Joseph Nadol, an active ISTAT member and a J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. managing director was among the six people killed when a Metro-North Railroad train collided with a SUV in Westchester County, New York in February. He was 42.

Nadol was extremely well known in the aviation community as one of the top analysts. He claimed the No. 1 spot among aerospace and defense analysts for the first time in 2009. Institutional Investor reported that his clients praised him "for his abilities to ‘think on his own’ and ‘smell management B.S. a mile away.’"

Nadol was a married father of three sons. ISTAT has established a special scholarship fund in his memory. Members may donate online at the Foundation website, or mail a check to the ISTAT offices marked Attn: Joseph Nadol Memorial Scholarship Fund.
