The Department of Recreation, Sport and Tourism at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign has sought to enhance the awareness and knowledge of leisure service providers throughout Illinois and beyond.To better reflect an evolving field and curriculum, in 2004 the department was named the Department of Recreation, Sport and Tourism (RST).

Interested in presenting at the 2016 conference? We invite you to submit a proposal for review. This is an excellent opportunity for presenters to share knowledge about innovative business practices, successful program models, case studies and the latest emerging trends and research with a multi-disciplinary audience of nearly 4,500 professionals in the parks, recreation and conservation field.
