NEWS ABOUT MEMBERS

The St. Charles Park District recently hired Michael Spencer Reed as Information Technology Manager to oversee the management of all aspects of technology and telecommunications including strategic and daily operations. Previously, Reed was employed with Des Plaines Park District, a computer management services agency that specialized in library networks, and spent a few years freelancing as a computer consultant. Reed is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.








St. Charles Park District also welcomed Lara Piner as Community Center Supervisor responsible for the operations of Pottawatomie Community Center including customer service, facility scheduling, special events and adult programming. Piner has several years of park and recreation experience from the Northfield, Waukegan and Oakbrook Terrace Park Districts. She is a Certified Park and Recreation Professional through the National Park and Recreation Association and a Certified Program Planner from the Learning Resources Network Institute. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa and a Master’s degree in Recreation Administration from Aurora University.
