Grant funds will be available to assist communities under the Urban and Community Forestry and the Forest Health Cooperative Programs of the United States Department of Agriculture. The Metropolitan Mayors Caucus is the grant administrator in cooperation with The Morton Arboretum.
Funds will be available to:
- Purchase and plant trees
- Conduct an inventory and prepare management plans.
Three grant workshops offered to assist applicants in planning successful grants. To attend the workshop near you, please RSVP to Eve Pytel.
- December 3, 2010, Chicago Botanic Garden located at 1000 Lake Cook Rd in Glencoe, Illinois 60022 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
- December 9, 2010, Orland Park Civic Center at 14750 South Ravinia Avenue in Orland Park, Illinois 60462-3134 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
- December 15 2010, The Morton Arboretum at 4100 Illinois 53 in Lisle, Illinois 60532 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.
A webinar will also be offered in Late December.

This is a hands-on workshop for your front line camp staff. Participants will go through a day of camp and walk away with great tools to bring back to their agencies for the summer. Please register by December 27th.

The person who is designated the table contact/coordinator will receive an email with full detailed instructions on the table registration process. The table contact/coordinator will be responsible for notifying those seated at their reserved table(s) of the table assignment(s). Once online conference registration closes on January 21, 2011, no more table reservations will be accepted. There will be no onsite table reservations taken. Register early to ensure the best possible table selection. All reserved tables will be tables of 10. You must have a full table and all table assignments are final.
