Wednesday, October 30, Leveraging Connected Educators to Implement the Common Core -- An Alliance for Excellent Education Webinar from 4 to 5 PM EDT

This webex, cohosted by the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) and the Alliance for Excellent Education for Connected Educator Month, will feature two teacher leaders who are instructional leads in their schools and districts in implementing the Common Core: Darren Burris, a mathematics teacher and instructional coach at Boston Collegiate Charter School, and Heather McGovern, a special education teacher for grades K-3 and the Response to Intervention lead at Middletown Elementary School in Kentucky. Darren and Heather will discuss strategies for teaching the Common Core and highlight helpful resources to facilitate classroom instruction and professional learning. Principals and teachers who participate in this online discussion will be able to take practical strategies for implementation back to their classrooms, schools, and districts.
