Webinar Overview
Two new studies explore online learning for credit recovery. Stemming from the research agenda of the Northeast Rural Districts Research Alliance at REL Northeast & Islands at EDC, the first is a survey of online course use in high schools in the Greater Albany, New York, region. The second, conducted by American Institutes for Research, examines the outcomes of students who took an Algebra I credit recovery course online versus face to face. The two research presentations will be followed by a discussion with an educator in the Northeast with who will share experiences with the implementation of online credit recovery.

Who Should Attend?
District and school administrators and practitioners who are using or considering online courses to provide credit recovery opportunities; representatives from state-level education organizations in New England and New York considering programs and policies to increase students’ access to online learning opportunities; K–12 virtual education program administrators; and rural education and virtual education researchers.
