The National Center for Literacy Education invites you to an informational briefing.  Learn about research, practice, and policy that support literacy learning across grade levels and across content areas. The critical role of principals and teachers working together will be highlighted through revelatory research findings from a national survey and insightful accounts of successful practice in schools.

Presenters include:
-- Kent Williamson, director, National Center for Literacy Education, and executive director, National Council of Teachers of English
-- Mel Riddile,  associate director of high school services, National Association for Secondary School Principals
-- Mark Thomas and Julia Reynolds, principal and teacher, Northview High School, Grand Rapids, Michigan
-- Joseph Manko and Angela Guidera, principal and teacher, Liberty Elementary School, Baltimore, Maryland
-- Joshua Klaris, resident principal, US Department of Education
-- Sara Bolton, senior budget and policy advisor, Senator Patty Murray
 
Packets will contain materials from multiple NCLE stakeholders, such as NCTE, NASSP, and the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
