Early-College Study Abroad: A Gateway for Faculty Engagement in Internationalization
An article in the most recent issue of IIENetworker magazine gives three models of early-college study abroad programs that help increase first- and second-year college student study abroad engagement. According to the article, "Many institutions design these programs to increase early-college students’ study abroad participation and global engagement or to strategically support retention, enrollment management, curricular internationalization, and transition issues. Early-college programs also provide critical gateway experiences for faculty and can help institutions meet campus internationalization goals."
