Open Doors 2011: Report on International Educational Exchange
Edited by Patricia Chow and Rajika Bhandari

Open Doors, published with support from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, features graphic displays, especially data maps, tables, figures, and to-the-point policy-oriented analysis. Available at www.iiebooks.org/propdo201.html.

Student Mobility and the Internationalization of Higher Education: National Policies and Strategies from Six World Regions
Edited by Rajika Bhandari, Raisa Belyavina, and Robert Gutierrez

Against the backdrop of student mobility trends, this report provides a broad view of what 17 key countries are doing at the national and institutional level to attract international students and to send more of their own students abroad. This book focuses not on the mobility data itself, but rather on its context: the internationalization policies and strategies that ultimately drive mobility numbers for each host and sending country. Each of the country sections is authored by a national academic mobility research institution or organization privy to in-depth knowledge of their country's internationalization strategies. Available at www.iiebooks.org/stmoandinofh.html.

Who Goes Where and Why? An Overview and Analysis of Global Educational Mobility
By Caroline Macready and Clive Tucker

This book describes and analyzes current information on how and why students choose their study abroad destinations, and the ways in which national policies in a variety of host and sending countries impact students' decisions. This report also provides a thorough analysis of the Exchange Visitor Program in the United States, using statistics provided to the authors by the U.S. Department of State. Available at www.iiebooks.org/bgowhandwh.html.
