October 2, 7:20–8:30 AM at the Grand Hyatt Hotel | Register by September 18
Hosted by the DC Public Schools Global Education office and featuring speakers from the Asia Society and Longview Foundation, join district-level leaders and administrators for a focused brainstorming session as we examine the growing field of K-12 global education, the role of study abroad in K-12 global education initiatives, and discuss next steps for developing students’ global competence and a "culture of travel" in local school districts. A key take-away will be how to create a K-12 environment in which global experiences are the expectation rather than the exception.

Message from Our Diamond Sponsor

"It is fitting that AIFS is the Diamond Sponsor for IIE’s upcoming Summit on Study Abroad as we are also celebrating the Diamond Anniversary (50th year) of our organization’s founding. We believe this Summit is vital to increasing study abroad as well as improving program options for today’s student. I encourage all those in our field to attend. AIFS is very excited to be a part of this initiative and we look forward to sharing new ideas and best practices with all of you in DC later this month."
