Intercultural competence is a requisite for success in the 21st century. We have therefore assembled a dynamic roster of distinguished speakers to present on this topic and others at the IIE Summit on Generation Study Abroad. The IIE Summit will feature an inspiring program of innovative presentations, thought-provoking plenary and panel sessions, think tanks, whisper sessions, and workshops that address major questions, such as how to build a globally competent workforce and how to integrate study abroad into every American’s college experience.

"It is imperative that we become inclusive of students of all backgrounds when designing international education pathways."

—Eduardo J. Padrón, President, Miami Dade College

"We live in an increasingly hyper-connected world. Learning how to interact with people from different cultures will challenge future leaders to address urgent issues shared across borders."

—Moraa Onyonka, Director of Partnerships & Brand Engagement, Travel Noire

"Language skills and social awareness—both native and foreign—and a developed sensitivity to other points of view, are essential to success in the global workplace."

—Peter Lengyel, President & CEO, Safran USA
