Application Deadline: September 17, 2012

If your institution is seeking to develop strategic institutional partnerships with higher education institutions in Myanmar (Burma), there is still time to apply for IIE’s International Academic Partnership Program. IIE’s Center for International Partnerships is pleased to announce a new Special Partnership Initiative in Myanmar (Burma). For more information, please go www.iie.org/iapp

Over the course of six months, the IAPP Myanmar (Burma) Program will engage a group of U.S. higher education institutions in a number of training activities focused on understanding the Myanmar higher education system and addressing key academic partnership sectors, including business, health, and capacity building.

After recent meetings at the Myanmar Embassy, IIE's President and CEO, Allan Goodman, was reaffirmed of the Myanmar government's support of this initiative. IIE is more committed than ever to guiding U.S. institutions through a strategic partnership program and leading a delegation to Myanmar, most likely in February 2013. Please consider joining us at this pivotal time in the history of the Republic of Myanmar.
