Three 100,000 Strong Grant Competitions


The goal of 100,000 Strong in the Americas, President Obama's signature education initiative in the Western Hemisphere is to increase the number of U.S. students studying in the Western Hemisphere to 100,000 and the number of Western Hemisphere students studying in the United States to 100,000 by 2020. To be eligible to compete in the three 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund competitions below, and to receive information on subsequent rounds, higher education institutions (HEIs) should join the 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Network.


Promoting Study Abroad Partnerships for Innovation and Collaboration Between the Americas and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico ("Campus Puerto Rico")

Promoting Study Abroad in Engineering, Physics, Geology, and Geophysics
Application Deadline: October 2, 2015
Eligibility: Institutions from the U.S., Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guyana and Mexico

Advancing Study Abroad in Professional and Technical Training through Colombia SENA Centers and U.S. Community Colleges
Application Deadline: October 15, 2015, 5:00 PM EST
Eligibility: SENA Centers & U.S. Community Colleges
