British Council Workshop: Higher Education in the New Economic Order

Thursday, October 18, 2012, 9:00am – 5:00pm
DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois

Higher education in both the US and UK is at a crossroads. As government budgets are slashed and tuition and fees increase, how are institutions adapting themselves? How well are communities and institutions working together to help spur needed economic development? Is there room for internationalization in this climate of uncertainty? How can institutions prove that a degree still has the return on investment and strong employment prospects that have long been associated with higher education?

Please join the second event in the British Council Higher Education Series in Chicago as they discuss and debate these issues with speakers from the US and UK who represent a range of international voices and perspectives.
