The Institute of International Education (IIE) has launched the first-ever survey to collect data on U.S. student participation in a wide range of educational activities in China, including internships, volunteering, and independent research abroad.
With the launch of the 100,000 Strong Initiative, which aims to send more Americans to study in China, collecting data on U.S. students who partake in an array of educational activities in China as part of their higher education experience will provide a more accurate picture of outbound student mobility in the United States. This data will also help institutions better understand the full extent of their students’ international activity and benchmark their institutional engagement with China.
We invite all higher education institutions to complete this survey, even if only partial data is available on student participation in education abroad activities in China in the 2011 calendar year.
