Why Study Abroad

In a recent Huffington Post article "Why Study Abroad," co-author of A Student Guide to Study Abroad Stacie Nevadomski Berdan discusses both the practical benefits of study abroad and some of the more honest attractions for students. Berdan stresses that study abroad is a serious undertaking. "It challenges students on a personal level. It will have an impact on their college career. It costs money." But all programs are not equal, and many facets can impact a student’s experience abroad. That’s why Berdan teamed up with Dr. Allan Goodman, President and CEO of the Institute of International Education, and Sir Cyril Taylor, Founder of AIFS, to write a practical how-to guide on study abroad.
