European Commission Wants to Ease Visa Process for Students

Despite record unemployment in many of the 27 EU nations, the European Commission has proposed setting a 60-day time limit for EU countries to decide whether foreign students are eligible for an EU visa to end the current system that varies across countries and that Brussels says is complex and unclear, Reuters reports.

Commissioners argue that although there is high unemployment and unstable economies, Europe has many skilled jobs that go unfilled.
