Young Explorers Grants help cover field project costs for individuals ages 18 to 25 pursuing research, conservation and exploration-related projects consistent with National Geographic's grant programs, including: the Committee for Research and Exploration (CRE), the Expeditions Council (EC) and the Conservation Trust (CT). With the support of the Henry Luce Foundation's Asia Program, National Geographic has expanded the Young Explorers Grant program to include more opportunities for fieldwork in 18 Northeast and Southeast Asian countries.

Through the existing Young Explorers Grant program, National Geographic is accepting applications from hard-working, passionate, creative young individuals from all over the world who are interested in doing fieldwork in Brunei, Burma/Myanmar, Cambodia, China, East Timor, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
