Thursday, February 21, 2013
Atlanta, Georgia
"Diversifying the Kinds of Students Who Study Abroad and the Regions Where They Go"

The workshop is offered at no cost and is designed to provide faculty and administrators with the tools to help increase the number of students who receive Gilman Scholarships on their campus.

The Gilman Program strongly encourages attendance from community colleges and other institutions that work with underrepresented student populations. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of study abroad and how to better advise students on the Gilman Scholarship application process. New participants receive a free one-year IIENetwork membership and all participants receive an information toolkit to assist them in increasing study abroad on their home campus.

The workshop will be held the day before the Community Colleges for International Development’s annual conference. Registration is required and space is limited. If you are interested in participating, please contact gilmanadvisors@iie.org or via phone at 832.369.3483. The Gilman Scholarship Program is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.
