International Accreditation Activity of U.S. Accrediting Organizations

According to a report by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, U.S. accrediting organizations were active in countries around the world in 2010-2011, accrediting 857 non-U.S. operations and 720 U.S. programs or operations.

The report, The Condition of Accreditation: U.S. Accreditation in 2011, provides "quantitative information about the numbers of accredited institutions and programs in the U.S., student enrollment, operating characteristics of accrediting organizations, international accreditation activity and recognition of accrediting organizations."
