National Conference Call for IIENetwork Members on Libya

U.S.-Libya Educational Cooperation

The Institute of International Education invites you to participate in a special conference call with high-level U.S. and Libyan officials on U.S.-Libya educational cooperation. This conference call will take place on Monday, May 21 from 11:00am to 12:00pm EST. The call will be moderated by Dr. Allan E. Goodman, President and CEO of the Institute of International Education.

The conference call will focus on the theme of "U.S.-Libya Educational Cooperation: New Strategies for Engaging with Libya to Promote Higher Education Cooperation." The distinguished participants will include:

  • Ambassador Chris Stevens, U.S. Ambassador to Libya
  • Samantha Power, Special Assistant to the President of the United States; Senior Director for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights, National Security Council
  • Dr. Naim Al Gheryani, Libyan Minister of Higher Education
  • Dr. Allan E. Goodman, President and CEO, Institute of International Education (moderator)
