Scholarship Opportunities at Masdar Institute in Abu Dhabi

Higher education institutions in the United States are welcome to nominate ten candidates for enrollment in graduate programs at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi. Students' applications will be evaluated by Masdar Institute's academic selection committee. Nominated students must meet the admission criteria: a relevant undergraduate degree in the fields of science, engineering, or computing and information science; a minimum GPA score of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; GRE scores (quantitative is 155 on the new scale), and international TOEFL (minimum required is 91 IBT) or academic IELTS score (minimum required is 6.5).

Masdar Institute of Science and Technology is a world-class research-driven, graduate-level university focused on advanced energy and sustainable technology. Developed by the Government of Abu Dhabi with the support and collaboration of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Masdar Institute operates in close collaboration with MIT and provides a research and science environment that attracts and nurtures future leaders and critical thinkers in science and technology worldwide.

The Institute currently offers eight accredited master's degrees in the following programs: mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, water and environmental engineering, computing and information science, engineering systems and management, electrical power engineering, microsystems engineering, and chemical engineering. Qualified admitted students receive a full scholarship. In addition to the degree awarded by Masdar Institute, graduating students may also receive a certificate jointly signed by MIT.
