IIE is pleased to announce that the Open Doors 2011: Report on International Educational Exchange books are now available for purchase. Open Doors provides a long-standing, comprehensive statistical analysis of academic mobility between the United States and the nations of the world.

Open Doors features graphic displays, especially data maps, tables, figures, and to-the-point policy-oriented analysis. A complete set of tables in this book is the essential resource for those concerned with the explosive growth in the worldwide movement of students around the globe.

Special features in the 2011 print edition (and not available online) of Open Doors include:

  • Study abroad at HBCUs
  • Attitudes and perceptions of prospective students from Colombia, France, Japan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom
  • Trends on globally mobile students worldwide
  • Analysis of places of origin of international students enrolled in campuses at the top host states and cities

The Open Doors report is published by the Institute of International Education. IIE has conducted an annual statistical survey of international students in the United States since 1919, in partnership with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs since the early 1970s.

IIE members receive one complimentary copy per institution. Standing order customers should receive their copies shortly.
