Article: Malaysia: An Education Hub by Chance

An article in The Star Online reports on Malaysia’s gradual rise as a regional education hub. Among the pull factors that the article cites as drawing international students to Malaysia are high English language proficiency, the success of recently implemented twinning programs, an updated quality assurance framework, and an attractive location and culture for Middle Eastern students. As a result of such pull factors, Malaysia is now the tenth most-preferred study destination in the world, according to the Institute of International Education, attracting more than 90,000 international students this past year.
