From now through the end of August, the U.S. Department of State is looking for volunteers to open their homes to an international exchange student. Through exchange programs such as FLEX, Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES), and Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX), the Department of State offers a unique opportunity for international students between the ages of 15-18 to come study in the United States. Through this experience host families not only leave lasting impressions of the United States on their exchange students, they also gain invaluable insights into new cultures. For an unforgettable year of discovery with your family, consider hosting an international exchange student.
