The deadline to apply for the 2017-2018 Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar competition is Monday, August 1, 2016. The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offers over 500 awards! We hope these tips and resources will help you submit a competitive application. The following points should be made evident in your application:
       •  Professional qualifications and requisite experience
       •  The urgency, quality and feasibility of the proposal
       •  Personal characteristics of collegiality, cultural adaptability and sensitivity
       •  Outcomes, potential impact and benefits

Keep the full Review Criteria in mind when finalizing your application. Have you presented your project so experts and non-experts understand the need for it, and how it will be completed? Fulbright alumni consistently tell us that having colleagues review their project statement for constructive feedback helped strengthen their application. Who will you ask?

Find out how to submit a competitive application by consulting the Application Guidelines and Project Statement Samples. If you have additional questions about the application process, sign up for a virtual advising session on July 20. You can also register to review your Fulbright application package with program staff on July 27 and July 29.

The Fulbright Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, is the U.S. government’s flagship international exchange program and is supported by the people of the United States and partner countries around the world.
