Congratulations to WeTech Scholarship Recipients

The Institute of International Education (IIE) and Juniper Networks announced four U.S. college students who will receive the Women Enhancing Technology (WeTech) Scholarship and Internship for University Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Dana Christo of North Carolina State, Kelcy Newton and Liubov Nikolenko of Georgia Tech, and Yoo Jeong Shim of Harvey Mudd College have each been awarded a $10,000 scholarship and a paid 12-week internship at Juniper’s Global Headquarters in California. Through various WeTech initiatives, IIE is working to encourage women around the world to pursue and sustain careers in STEM-related fields, focusing on the U.S. and India. Later this year, eight additional scholarships will be awarded to young women from India to pursue STEM studies and internships.
