A recipient of the Institute of International Education’s Syrian scholarship fund, Sana Mustafa, describes her experiences since leaving Syria in 2013 and the impact that the scholarship had on her education and moving forward. 

New Study Abroad Population – Inside Higher Ed 
Community colleges are looking to study abroad as a way to attract students and see them through to completion. In addition, many study abroad programs are expanding their offerings to two-year institutions. 

The African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education (CAMES) – the body responsible for accreditation in Africa’s French-speaking countries – has signed a partnership agreement with UNESCO to promote higher education quality across the continent.
