IIE Welcomes New Vice President & Chief Philanthropy Officer

Allan E. Goodman, President & CEO of the Institute of International Education (IIE), appointed Joyce P. Hendricks to serve as the organization’s Vice President & Chief Philanthropy Officer. Hendricks works with IIE’s President and CEO, as well as the Board of Trustees and senior management to lead fundraising efforts.  She develops and maintains relationships with current stakeholders and potential prospects who have an interest in and desire to support IIE’s world-class services and programs. Hendricks focuses on expanding support for critical IIE initiatives, including Generation Study Abroad, the Fulbright Legacy Fund, Scholar Rescue Fund, student emergency funds, and IIE’s work to support women and girls and higher education in emergencies.  She will play a key role in planning fundraising activities and events in support of IIE’s Centennial celebration in 2019, and developing new initiatives and further engaging those who support our mission. Hendricks brings a wealth of experience to this new position, having most recently spent ten years leading a wide range of development operations at Rutgers University. She has also held a range of positions at Johnson & Johnson (J&J), including Commodity Manager, Strategic Sourcing, and Manager, Corporate Contributions and Community Relations.
