International Education in the Wake of Identity-Based Conflict

In the recent IIENetworker magazine, Aryn Baxter looks at the peacebuilding potential of international exchange by examining the education experiences of youth from post-conflict Rwanda on two U.S. campuses. "International learning experiences not only contribute to redefining identities and relationships among program participants," writes Baxter, "students’ learning experiences are also shaped in profound ways by a shared history of identify-based conflict."
