The IIE-Scholar Rescue Fund will host a reception featuring recent works by Dr. Jumana Jaber, an IIE-SRF Fellow and the first recipient of the Janet Hennessey Dilenschneider Scholar Rescue Award in the Arts. An established professor of visual art and design displaced by the civil conflict in her native Syria, Dr. Jaber is currently teaching at Montclair State University in New Jersey. Her works explore the effects of dislocation and the trauma caused by the ongoing conflict in Syria. This installation adds to an impressive portfolio of work she has exhibited around the world, including galleries and museums in Poland, the United States, and Syria.
