Ford commits to spending $4 billion on autonomous vehicles
Ford has signaled its dedication to the development of autonomous vehicles by announcing its plans to spend $4 billion on the sector through 2023. The carmaker has created Ford Autonomous Vehicle LLC, which will host the company’s self-driving systems integration, autonomous vehicle research and advanced engineering, AV transportation-as-a-service network development, user experience, business strategy and business development teams.

Buick, in partnership with ExxonMobil, is adding a pay-at-the-pump feature to its in-car Marketplace feature. Buick drivers will be able to locate the nearest ExxonMobil gas station and then pay for fuel from inside the car without having to swipe a credit card or use a smartphone.
