California is testing new digital license plates on vehicles — opening up new possibilities and raising new privacy concerns. The digital plates display large letters and numbers, similar to all license plates, but the devices are also able to show ads and personal messages and send data about their locations.
Zips Car Wash has grown to 122 stores with the May 30 acquisition of Georgia-based Four Seasons Car Wash. The seven latest stores mark Zips' doubling in size from 61 to 122 stores over the last 16 months.

A Cayuga County, N.Y., car wash chain is planning to add two new locations with the help of tax breaks. K&S Car Wash plans to acquire Suds & Buds Auto Wash in Auburn and Apple Auto Wash in Sennett, for $155,000 and $445,000, respectively. K&S will then perform a multi-million dollar renovation on the properties to upgrade outdated equipment and bring the car washes "into the modern era."
