Speedy Clean Car Wash is undergoing a number of improvements and will soon be renamed Valley Car Wash. Owner Terry Schoen said he has taken over the business and has rebuilt the facility, converting it from a friction car wash, which it was since the early 1990s, to a touch-free wash system.

In the past four months, an Arizona car wash chain has bought up three car wash businesses in the Grand Rapids area. The latest acquisition for Mister Car Wash is Auto Spa Car Wash, a Grand Rapids chain of four express locations. "Grand Rapids is quickly becoming a great market for us as a company," said Joe Matheny, vice president of operations for Mister Car Wash, in a statement.
